Since opening in 2012, the market has doubled its attendance, from 6,000 to 12,000 patrons per season. In 2015, an average of 25-30 food vendors provided their local wares, with increased numbers of vendors (artisans) on the last Friday of each month. Running the farmers market is not free. Each vendor at the market pays a fee to rent space. These rental payments provide only about 1/3 of our annual operating budget of $16,000. The rest of the budget must be covered by income from special events, and donations from sponsors and individuals. The Dixboro Farmers' Market does not receive any monetary support for operations from any governmental agency.
